Hoppy Dog

As we turned our car onto Mystic Road, Mirage sat up in the rear compartment of our Honda CRV. "She's Looking!" Dan reported.

We continued on the gravel road crossing great grey tree shadows and dappled sunlight full of road dust. Then the brown farm house loomed across the pattern of small firs.

Thats when the jumping and twisting began. A Happy Hopping Lab could not wait to leap from the car as I unlatched the gate. I opened the door and out she flew! She looked at me obediently, torn between her 'official duty to guide me and her deepest desire to dash to the Farmhouse to greet Holly and Judy.
When the front door opened, JOY moved the dog forward and she sprinted towards them and after a quick wink, the dogs raced into the yard, where chickens were happily scratching.
We sat to visit and Dan unloaded Mirage's gear.
When it was time for us to go, Mirage
tucked inside the doorway. I can't say whether she was ready for dinner or she was just announcing her contentment with the arrangement:)
Bye Bye Mirage.
Until next week. . . . Be Good
